Workplace Accidents

Personal guidance in pursuing your rights

A serious workplace accident can change health, earning capacity and family life. While the injured person focuses on treatment and rehabilitation, legal and financial questions also arise. Mazar & Co. assists people whose workplace accidents caused serious injuries and significant disabilities. Our work includes National Insurance claims, representation before medical committees and assessment of claims against employers or other responsible parties. Adv. Yosefy Mazar provides personal guidance and direct contact throughout the case.

Building the picture from the beginning

We establish where the accident happened, what work was being performed, who was present and what equipment and safety measures were available. We examine events, gather documents and identify further evidence that may be needed. We also study the medical condition and the changes in the injured person’s life.

Several proceedings, one overall view

A serious workplace accident may involve several authorities and proceedings. Each requires individual attention while considering its connection with the rest of the case. We assist with National Insurance claims and medical committees, and assess compensation claims against the employer or other parties according to the facts, records and the injured person’s condition.

Types of workplace accidents we handle

Work accidents occur on construction and renovation sites, in factories, warehouses, kitchens, offices and on the road. Cases may involve:
• Falls from scaffolding or from height.
• Falls from ladders or on stairs.
• Slips and trips at work.
• Machinery and industrial equipment injuries.
• Saws, cutting discs and angle grinders.
• Cuts from sharp tools or objects.
• Eye injuries from fragments or foreign bodies.
• Hazardous substances and chemicals.
• Falling objects or collapsing equipment and structures.
• Road accidents during or connected with work.
• Assaults and violence at work.
• Injuries on construction and renovation sites.
Every case is assessed individually, focusing on serious injuries and significant disabilities. Contact us even if your circumstances are not listed.

The medical injury and its effect on work

We examine the requirements of the person’s work before the accident and how present limitations affect a return to that occupation, working hours and the ability to continue over time. A limitation in movement or strength may have a different impact on physical work than on another occupation. Understanding the person and their work helps establish the consequences.

Looking ahead

Depending on the case, we assess lost income and future earning capacity; medical treatment and rehabilitation; daily and household assistance; mobility and equipment; independence and family life; and physical and psychological consequences beyond the initial recovery period.

Medical committee support

Our work includes reviewing medical records, preparing for the committee and representation where appropriate. We take care to understand the symptoms and limitations and present the condition clearly and with supporting evidence.

Useful documents at the outset

If available, prepare hospital summaries and medical records; photographs of the scene and witness details; accident reports; employment and income records; correspondence with National Insurance, the employer and insurers; and records of expenses and assistance. You can contact us before the documentation is complete.
